Mrs “J” Application for Scholarships
Mrs “J” Application Instructions
Applicants must complete Mrs “J” scholarship application form, submit a copy of one report for the current year, write a personal (100 words plus) biography, submit and write a 200 to 1,000-word essay that answers one of the following questions:
• How softball has changed or impacted your life?
• What have you learned about yourself, your family and/or your community by playing sports or watching your parent (s) play softball.
• How a softball player has changed or made a positive influence your life.
Essays and personal biographies must be emailed to whit2001@sbcglobal.net in English. Students must also meet all the eligibility requirements listed below.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this competition, applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident
2. Plan to enter an accredited four-year college/university or junior college within 12 months of the scholarship deadline
3. Submit all required materials by the application deadline
Entries must be submitted by emailed on or before August 1, 2008 to whit2001@sbcglobal.net
Award program is August 9, 2008 at Kiest Park Recreation Center at 3pm. You must be present to receive a scholarship. We will have four winners.
